It’s no longer news that there have been fire outbreaks here and there and it has occurred frequently in several states over the last few weeks. The most recent one being the Balogun market fire outbreak that took almost 2days before the firefighters could put a stop to it.
It has just been reported that another fire just broke out in Okobaba area of Lagos state. A huge building on Jebba by Okobaba Street, Lagos Mainland is currently on fire. The residents of the area have trooped out in their hundreds to put the fire out before it destroys properties.
The fire has just started and the firefighters have arrived at the scene of the fire outbreak at Jebba by Okobaba street, Ebute Metta. However, as of the time this report is being filed, the several efforts to put out the fire have yielded no positive results.
Most of the residents of the area have started evacuating their properties. We are also reporting that the crowd at the scene of the burning building had increased trying to put out the fire but have not succeeded yet.
The cause of all these recent fire outbreaks are still unknown especially in areas where there was no oil spillage. This is really the citizen’s serious concerns as many properties have been damaged during these recurrent fire outbreaks.
