Court remands Fake Native Doctor and two others in prison over Juju Scam

The Federal High Court 1, sitting in Ibadan at Oyo State on Tuesday 29th of October 2019 with Justice Patricia Ajoku as the judge, has ordered the remand of a fake native doctor. He goes by the name of Fatai Olalere Alli (a.k.a. Baba Abore, Baba Oshun). There are also two others: Adigun Fatai Olusegun and Olufemi Kolawole in prison custody pending the filing, hearing and determination of their bail applications and case.

The three accused persons were arraigned by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibadan zonal office, on Tuesday 29th October 2019, on some criminal charges. These charges border on conspiracy, money laundering and obtaining money by false pretence. These area few amongst other crimes they had committed while acting as fake traditional native doctors.

The court which had earlier granted the EFCC permission for an order of interim forfeiture of properties traced to Alli, as well as freezing of accounts he allegedly used to receive proceeds of crime.

During investigations by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission, it was discovered that the suspect Fatai Olalere has been in this grievous act for a long time and he has always escaped being caught as all his devotees are devoted to him. It was also discovered that he has some properties which he acquired with the proceeds he made from duping people under this false act. Hence, the EFCC has called for the interim forfeiture of all his bank accounts and properties.
