One Miss Deborah Nwachukwu, 23, has been arrested by the police for allegedly stealing a Toyota jeep, cash and items worth N1m. The DSP of the Lagos State Police and the Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, said this in a statement released on 27th October 2019.
According to Bala Elkana, the suspect is an indigene of Abia State and resides at No 19 Irewale Street, Ipade area of Lagos State. The DSP further explained that Deborah Nwachukwu stole the Toyota Jeep, two Samsung S10, a wristwatch, designer perfume and some cash from one Mr. Patrick at MKO Street, off Toyin Street, Ikeja.
It was revealed that Mr Patrick met Nwachukwu at Shoprite in Ikeja area selling some cleaning products for a company around the shopping mall. He, however, invited her to help render home service cleaning in his house for him as she said she was also into cleaning. They both agreed for N20,000 as payment for her cleaning services. Further investigation revealed that the said invitation was not just for cleaning of the house but for sexual reasons as well.
After both parties had sexual intercourse, she, however, noticed that the complainant was asleep and she quickly took his exotic and expensive wristwatches, some cash and his Jeep and escaped from the house after she locked him in. The suspect Nwachukwu, has been charged to court and remanded in correctional custody,” the DSP stated.
