Facebook acquires startup to work on mind-controlling machines

Facebook announced to the public on Monday 23rd September 2019 about its deal to buy a startup working on various ways to command computers or other technological devices using thought instead of taps, swipes or keystrokes. According to the vice president, Andrew Bosworth, of augmented and virtual reality of the California-based social network, CTRL-labs will become part of Facebook Reality Labs with an aim of perfecting the technology and getting it into consumer products.

 “We understand that there are more natural, intuitive ways to interact with devices and technology,” Bosworth said in a post when Facebook announced the acquisition.

Liz Anjorin petitions NDLEA as rift between her and Toyin Abraham deepens

Few hours after Toyin Abraham’s letter to Liz Anjorin, she dared Toyin Abraham to submit herself for a drug test after allegedly accusing her of peddling narcotics. The rift between Liz Anjorin and Toyin Abraham appears to be getting worse as the former has petitioned the Nigeria Drug Law and Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over the alleged drug peddling levelled against her by the latter.

In a letter written by Liz Anjorin’s lawyers, K.Adewunmi and Associates, Toyin Abraham is advised to write a ‘clear and unqualified’ apology letter to their client. It also states that Liz Anjorin is willing to present herself to the drug law agency for drug testing.Liz who shared the letter via her Instagram page on Tuesday 17th September 2019, went to drag Toyin Abraham over her previous ‘cease and desist’ letter. The Yoruba Nollywood actress said Toyin’s claims were tasteless, classless and uncouth.

Toyin Abraham sends legal warning to Liz Anjorin

Toyin Abraham a Nollywood actress sent a legal warning to fellow Yoruba Nollywood actress, Liz Anjorin. The actress made this known via her Instagram page on Monday 16th of September 2019, where she shared a copy of the ‘cease and desist’ notice letter.

However, in her usual controversial style, Toyin Abraham called Liz Anjorin a pig, in the caption of the post:

Natural Afro Hair Billboard campaign launched to challenge stereotypes in the work place against black people’s natural Afro Hair

There is an Afro hair billboard campaign that has been created with the aim to change the stereotypical views of black men and women’s natural afro hair. Lekia Lee is the founder of the ‘Project Embrace’ billboard campaign which was created due to the lack of diversity in beauty. The faces of black individuals from different careers will be advertised in shopping centres, restaurants and roadside billboards. According to the Project Embrace website, their ‘goal is to make afro textured hair more visible in the media as beautiful hair’.
